Oh, that wildlife fun!
Eh, it's OK for what it is, but, certainly nothing to write home about. I've been twice, so this review is more of combination of both visits.
Always solid, consistently tasty Belgian style beer with a wide interpretation of what local ingredients would bring to the brewing art.
Keep the tasty barley libations bubbling away please.
I've never had a beer here that I would hesitate to invite a beer geek friend to enjoy and the food offerings from various foody trucks have never disappoint.
Excellent country atmosphere. Great selection of beers to sample. Pit Beef and turkey and other good food to eat while you sip their brews. All reasonably priced and a great way to spend part of your Sunday afternoon.
Stopped by and their front sign said they were open - turns out there was a wedding party happening. Oops! But instead of explaining the situation (and putting a sign ANYWHERE on the grounds) they were rude to my wife for asking if they were open. Don't be rude to my wife. Put up a sign if you're closed.
Pros: It's about 20 minutes from the populous areas of the county in farmland, so the scenery is quite nice. Cops aren't lurking around corners as you leave looking to put you in the Aegis.
Great little farm to glass brewery. Beers are very good, great place to hang out with indoor barn taproom and outdoor bar with a great view. Really fun and relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Let's be honest here - $6 for a 10 ounce beer served in a plastic solo cup, even for a micro brew, is pretty ridiculous. And, disappointingly, the beers are fairly average... certainly not deserving of the price tag. The "Street Gathering" was good, the "Daybreak" was gross. There's another brewery elsewhere in the county who's beers are significantly better, and, you get more bang for your buck, so "better" is definitely available elsewhere. The place is loaded with hipster, 30 something moms, dads, and their young children. Sometime in the last decade, this has become the fashionable thing for millennial parents to do: go drink with kids in tow! How fun... however, can be difficult to converse over children screaming for mommy. Bartender in upstairs bar was really rude when I asked for a water. Of course, in line with the $6 beers, water isn't free... it's a $1.50. Surprise! I suppose that's because it's bottled (no running water in barn?), but, I'm not paying for water. Also, speaking of "running water", don't expect to find toilets here, you'll have to make do in one of the four Port-a-Potty's out back. LOL, gross.
First, an overview: it's brewery on a working farm in Harford County (Street, MD). And, like they said in National Lampoon's Vacation, includes "scenery and wildlife fun". Drink out back of renovated barn! Take in the rolling landscapes! Pet the goats! Show your spawn a farm! You get the idea.
